Warm greetings! My name is Dr. Maureen Hogan, Ph.D., and I am a certified life coach, literacy consultant and yoga teacher.
I offer a holistic wellness service for high-performing professionals, intellectuals, and creatives who are tired of managing life and solving problems alone. You need clarity, perspective, and research-based strategies for incremental change. You also want accountability and support to keep things moving along at a self-defined pace.
Feeling Out of Place
Let’s face it: life is hard, and we live in a culture that values busy-ness, productivity, materiality and perhaps worst of all, stoic independence. None of these things are necessarily bad in and of themselves, but if out of balance we may:
feel chronically busy, anxious, underslept, overwhelmed, and paralyzed by indecision or fogginess.
be exhausted (mentally and physically) by responsibilities and relationships, yet have stress-driven, perseverating or racing thoughts.
have been neglecting diet and exercise, but continually put off doing something positive about it.
feel on auto-pilot most days, not really present and thriving, but rather just getting through the days, weeks, months and years.
be surrounded by people—loved ones even—yet still feel lonely and alienated from yourself, work and daily life.
be quick to anger, judge others, and make impulsive decisions with little thought or context.
Be Your Best
On balance, you need to slow down, practice meaningful self-care and take stock. You want to greet the day energized, not depleted. You want to show up as your best, most authentic, confident self, because you genuinely want to do the right thing, live within your own values (as a whole, grounded person), with self-compassion and compassion for others. You want to feel more playful, creative, present and light.
